Post-Procedure Care

The first days after your appointment are crucial for pigment retention.

For the first 7–10 days:

Avoid touching, scratching, or picking the area

Keep the area dry (no swimming, saunas, or heavy sweating

Use only aftercare ointment provided by your artist

Avoid makeup and skincare products on the treated area

Sleep on your back to avoid rubbing the treated area

What to expect:

Mild redness or swelling for 1–3 days

Slight flaking or scabbing during the healing process

Maintenance & Touch-Ups

Even with perfect PMU aftercare, pigment fades naturally over time.

  • Touch-up session: Recommended 6–8 weeks after the first procedure to perfect the color and shape.
  • Maintenance: Refresh every 1–3 years depending on the treatment and skin type.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and always use SPF on treated areas.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying makeup to the area before it’s fully healed.
  • Picking at flakes or scabs.
  • Using exfoliants, acids, or harsh cleansers on the area too soon.
  • Skipping the touch-up appointment.
  • Ignoring sunscreen protection.
